Kindle 4: The cutest Kindle so far!

February 19, 2012 – There’s going to be another product comparison taking place soon. It’ll be the Kindle 4 vs Kindle Touch. Except for the price, which is the equalizing factor, the touch screen has all the advantages between the two.  Except for navigational buttons, this is not an advantage against the touch screen; the cheaper Kindle does not have any other feature that the Touch Kindle doesn’t have. Well, if the size and weight matter a lot then the D01 100 model has more than one advantage after all. Its 0.34 inches high compared to the 0.4 inch of the D01 1200 model; 0.37 pounds while the other is 0.47 pounds;  4.5 inches wide against 4.7 inches; 6.5 inches and 6.8 inches long,  respectively. If you read the Kindle reviews, users have given the D01 1200 or the touch screen model more favorable comments than what the others got. This is not surprising because of the excellent digital technology invested in the 1200.

Reviews are a good gauge concerning what the consumers think of the product. The more positive the reviews the more people will buy their products, but this is not true all the time. There are well reviewed products that didn’t make it to the best sellers list.  In the case of the 4th generation Kindle, the reviews it received were not as stellar compared to the more expensive touch models but it received better reviews than its closest rival; it also did well in the market. Of course, reviews depend on whose home turf they are found; but generally, the Kindle obtained higher feedback ratings. Some critics may have their own allegiance, which is normal but should not be the case, but they’re not being dishonest at all. They’ve the right to choose which product they see is better, even if others can’t see why. That’s why they’re called critics; they have eyes for specifics.
