December 6, 2010 – Whether you live in the north, south, east, or west, everyone owns a lightweight jacket. Weather is unpredictable and you sometimes just need a little more warmth, or a little more protection from the rain, snow, or wind. The first jacket is the North Face Apex Bionic Jacket is a supreme lightweight jacket. Third in line is the Patagonia R4 fleece jacket, another lightweight, windproof jacket that is great. Patagonia is also known for it’s quality outdoor apparel and the R4 is no exception. With an interior grid, the R4 provides wind resistance, flexibility, and moisture management. the R4 from Patagonia doesn’t let down. Again, it’s a fleece, but a fleece on steroids simliar to the Denali. As a matter of fact, the R4 is the direct competitor to the North Face Denali fleece!
Fourth is the Marmot Oracle jacket from another great brand. Waterproof, breathable, and lightweight, the Oracle is a great buy. This jacket also includes a hood which is an added bonus when compared to the former three lightweight jackets. Sleek and stylish, the Oracle looks good, but all of these jackets do!
And last, but not least is the REI Ultra Light Jacket, a great product from the outdoor retailer’s name brand collection. Lightweight, waterproof and has it’s own bag attached for storing, if it warms up! This jacket also includes a hood.
Choosing a lightweight jacket can seem overwhelming, but it’s not.
